Hi, I am Kent Teh. Welcome to Kongsee.
This company was started by Brian and me. We are from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
After returning from our studies in Taiwan, we started this journey together.
Growing up, books were never something I could buy freely. During university in Taiwan, textbook prices were high and secondhand books were still expensive for students.
What helped me survive and succeed was access to a functioning secondhand ecosystem. I could buy what I needed, resell what I finished, and keep going without wasting limited money.
Back in Malaysia, we kept seeing the same problem: there was still no strong local platform to circulate highly standardized goods like video games, board games, and books. Good items stayed idle, value was lost, and reading became harder to sustain for many people.
That is why we built Kongsee. We want to make reuse simple, reduce waste, and keep knowledge and culture moving from one person to the next.
More than a marketplace, we hope Kongsee can help build a better world, where good things are shared more fairly, fewer resources are wasted, and more people can keep learning without being blocked by cost.
We are a small team building practical marketplace tools for Malaysia, with a long-term goal to support better circulation across Southeast Asia.

We appreciate your guidance and support.
